The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Impartial Faculty District police drive are now not cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty and the state's evaluate of the law enforcement response, a number of regulation enforcement sources tell ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent School District did not immediately reply to requests for remark from ABC Information.

Based on sources, the decision to cease cooperating occurred quickly after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news convention Friday throughout which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the wrong determination" and opposite to protocol.

Reached by ABC Information, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety stated, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police provided an initial interview but has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days in the past."

Final Tuesday's attack, one of many worst college shootings in U.S. historical past, left 19 youngsters and two adults useless.
