Uvalde police, school district no longer cooperating with Texas probe of taking pictures: Sources

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent Faculty District police pressure are not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College and the state's overview of the law enforcement response, multiple law enforcement sources tell ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Unbiased College District did not immediately respond to requests for comment from ABC News.

In keeping with sources, the choice to stop cooperating occurred quickly after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news convention Friday throughout which he mentioned the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the fallacious determination" and opposite to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Security stated, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police offered an preliminary interview however has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days ago."

Final Tuesday's assault, one of the worst school shootings in U.S. history, left 19 youngsters and two adults lifeless.
