Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of businesses responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with a number of different companies in an attempt to find him.
The teenager was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
