BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "school shooter" were present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Safety announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees.
Man Hanson. New Hampshire State PoliceAn elevated amount of law enforcement officials have been positioned at faculties in the communities because of the signs. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.
Hanson allegedly positioned the signs across the communities, the Division of Security mentioned, but they determined there is no credible menace at this time.
The New Hampshire Department of Safety is investigating indicators that learn 'school shooter!' which had been found in multiple communities New Hampshire Department of SafetyOne such sign was written on a paper plate. The security division released a photograph of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation."
Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of felony threatening and three misdemeanor charges including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.
No different suspects have been charged at this time.
