BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "college shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of fees.

An elevated quantity of law enforcement officials were positioned at schools within the communities because of the signs. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security said, but they determined there isn't a credible menace right now.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The protection department released a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor charges together with false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged right now.
