Juveniles Crash Stolen Automobile Near White House: Officers – NBC4 Washington

Two juveniles had been injured Monday after crashing a stolen automotive into a concrete security barrier close to the White House, the U.S. Secret Service stated.

A Secret Service spokesperson tells News4 that officers tried to tug over the car about 6:30 p.m., but the driver took off.

The car slammed into a concrete barrier and a telephone pole at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, officers said.

Video shows a silver sedan partly crumpled in the front across the road from a Secret Service guard put up, plus a concrete barrier pushed into the highway.

There have been two juveniles within the car. Both had been taken to a hospital and are now in secure condition, officials stated. We do not know their actual ages.

They’re expected to face charges.

D.C. police are investigating.
