Talking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I don't plan on popping out for the anthem going forward until I really feel better in regards to the direction of our country."

"I'm not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I may have demonstrated what I learned from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let or not it's identified by means of protest. The home of the courageous should encourage this."
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action in opposition to gun violence in the US.Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Sport 4 of the Warriors' collection towards the Dallas Mavericks, instead raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.
"In the last 10 days, we have had aged Black people killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now now we have youngsters murdered at college," Kerr instructed reporters initially of the press convention.
"When are we going to do something? I'm drained. I am so uninterested in getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated families which can be on the market ... I am uninterested in the moments of silence. Sufficient."
