Talking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I do not plan on coming out for the anthem going ahead until I really feel better in regards to the path of our nation."

In a blog put up, Kapler questioned whether the country's management is dedicated to representing its individuals's greatest interests and whether america is really "the land of the free and the house of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked mother and father trying to arrange to cost in to cease the shooter, including a father who learned his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians determine that the lobbyist and gun industries are more essential than our youngsters's freedom to go to high school without needing bulletproof backpacks and active shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he known as "the shortage of supply of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I could have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that when you're dissatisfied with your country, you let or not it's recognized through protest. The house of the courageous should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion towards gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to discuss basketball ahead of Game 4 of the Warriors' collection towards the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's shooting.

"Within the last 10 days, we have had elderly Black people killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we now have kids murdered at school," Kerr told reporters at the start of the press convention.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm tired. I am so uninterested in getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated households which might be out there ... I'm bored with the moments of silence. Sufficient."
