EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the legal alcohol restrict after not less than five people known as 911.
Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Fundamental Road exit. They say the crash brought about a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver saved going.
Other callers say the motive force was all over the road and now lacking a front tire.
They are saying he eventually stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Workers informed police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to sell his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell several occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath check.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is going through several charges.
He is the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
