EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after no less than five individuals referred to as 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Principal Avenue exit. They are saying the crash brought on a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, but the driver kept going.
Different callers say the motive force was all over the road and now missing a entrance tire.
They say he eventually stopped at a car dealership and appeared “super drunk.”
Employees advised police the driver, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to sell his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell a number of instances. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath test.
Police say inside his SUV, they found 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is going through a number of costs.
He is the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
