Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities mentioned.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park around 9 a.m. after the adult male victim referred to as authorities a few doable sexual assault, stated Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle mentioned.

The sheriff’s department wouldn't provide more details in regards to the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Workplace had not obtained the case Wednesday and has not made a charging choice, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, where they met the sufferer and eventually arrested Dick, Steinle stated.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in keeping with jail records. It was not immediately clear whether or not he had an legal professional who could speak on his behalf within the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor did not reply to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the following 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not guilty, and the case is about for trial, mentioned his lawyer in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he does not signify Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
